... and the bus came to Vancouver on Saturday, September 2, 2006.
Clark County shoppers should have low price alternatives. With 3 stores open, 1 under construction, 1 more approved, 1 in review and 2 in the planning stages, Wal Mart continues to dramatically expand their presence in our community.
Wake Up! Wal Mart is a national campaign to change Wal Mart and change America for the better. Their bus was on a national tour to hit 35 cities in 35 days ( www.wakeupwalmart.com). The tour ended September 4 in Seattle at a rally with appearances by Maria Cantwell, Patty Murray, and Howard Dean.
To recognize and support the efforts of our local coalition (www.walmartwatchdogs.org) the bus made an unplanned stop in Clark County. Our supporters turned out for an impressive rally.
